Old Dogs Howling is a podcast devoted to being more than halfway through life and still wanting to be fit and healthy. I’m Robert Koopmans and I’ve known Gord Cumming for more than 10 years. We’re a couple of old dogs that have trained for and finished a few marathons and a bunch of triathlons. Along the way, we’ve both realized it can be difficult to stay focussed, and we’ve learned to appreciate the value of having a way to stay motivated. In this podcast, we'll work out, measure our progress, talk to fitness experts and look for new ways that middle-aged "old dogs" can improve the quality of their lives and health. We'll look for the challenges we all face, and try to find ways past the hurdles. We'll explore different kinds of pathways to healthy living, including alternative forms of exercise, recovery strategies, diets, and other things that have the potential to affect one's pathway to healthy living. Middle-aged men face different issues than younger people when it comes to fitness. We all know aging takes a toll but it doesn't have to be limiting. The key is to keep putting one foot in front of the other, and make fitness a personal commitment. Just keep moving ...!
