A paranoid ex-reporter, a wealthy trust fund kid, a Norwegian gamer, and a party girl, aided by their handler, a sarcastic researcher, participate in a scientific study monitoring their physical and mental reactions to a series of virtual reality simulations with a significant monetary reward.
